There are a lot of reasons to love Allen Edmonds shoes. Made in the USA. Great leather. Timeless appeal. These are my favorites. The Allen Edmond Fairfax. I have them in black and chestnut. They never fail to get a compliment. The shoes are elegant, almost Edwardian in their lines. The shoes in the photo are five years old and they still look new. They also make a fantastic sound when walking on hard surfaces. They sound impressive. Sadly, this style is no longer available. Luckily, when the time comes, I can have them re crafted by AE.

It's cute.
And for those practical people out there, it was just given a "Top Safety Pick Award" from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.

Celebrity photographer Bruce Weber has revamped his website. Weber is famous for his Abercrombie & Fitch work.
“I like to think of our Web site as a bar,” Weber told the New York Times this week. “It’s like I’m showing my film and somebody from my studio is showing some pictures and somebody else is reading their poetry — it’s the bar you always went to after school, in college.”
